Our engineering expertise can provide solutions using either two-phase heat transfer devices based on embedded heat pipe or vapor chamber concepts, or advanced solid conduction technology using Annealed Pyrolytic Graphite (APG). Aavid Thermacore spreader cold plates can offer from two to 50,000+ times the thermal conductivity of solid materials like aluminum and copper.

Two-phase thermal solutions include:

  • Embedded heat pipes into a single heat sink assembly to spread heat over a larger surface area
  • Vapor chamber solutions using high-performance heat spreaders to achieve high performance via three-dimensional spreading (enables low device temperature and greater reliability)
  • Vapor plane technology using flattened tubular heat pipe spreader to allow a low-profile, cost-effective alternative to vapor chamber technology
